Support Sumaiya for her dreams to be an entrepreneurs
Sumaiya, the eldest of four siblings, lives in a Rohingya camp in Bangladesh with her parents and three younger siblings. She was once a student at the BDesh Foundation learning center but had to drop out due to cultural norms restricting women from leaving home after puberty. Her father, injured during the Myanmar army atrocities in 2017, frequently suffers from illness, leaving the family without a stable income. Despite these hardships, Sumaiya is determined to build a better future. Owning a sewing machine, she sews clothes for children and Rohingya women, earning a small income. She dreams of expanding her business by purchasing more fabric, allowing her to support her father’s treatment, her siblings’ education, and ultimately, their path to a dignified and independent life.
