EMERGENCY FLOOD APPEAL NEPAL
On the morning of August 26, a massive glacier collapse in the Himalayas sent a wall of ice, rock, and water tearing through Nepal’s Trishuli River valley – burying entire villages across the Rasuwa and Nuwakot districts.
The scale of this disaster is staggering. Over 500 people are confirmed dead. More than 1,300 remain missing.
An estimated 90,000 people have been impacted. Roads, bridges, and hydropower infrastructure have been destroyed, cutting communities off from aid. And the danger is not over – newly formed barrier lakes threaten further flooding at any moment.
BDesh Foundation is mobilizing to respond.
We are coordinating to deliver emergency relief to families who have lost everything. Every hour matters. Families are stranded in remote mountain terrain with no shelter, no clean water, and no way to reach help on their own.
